Keep Calm and Sparkle On!

Although, I try to stick with designing jewelry lines, I do love to deviate and create tiaras. There is just something special about adorning one’s head with jewels that sparkles! This stems clearly from watching the Nutcracker and Cinderella during my childhood. I would fantasize about dressing up in one and dominating my subjects. Ok, the last part is a joke. All kidding aside, I remember one Halloween getting the chance to dress up as a queen with a crown. So, my dad made me one out of cardboard and tin foil. It was not the most glamorous; like the ones found in the costume stores. However, it did shine! Now, I get to pay it forward and give other young girls and women an opportunity to wear one, too! I am in the process of creating 5 to give away to young ladies who did not get an opportunity to go to their prom this year. Ah, 2020, we need a do over! Anyhow, did you know that there is a difference between a crown and a tiara?

Apparently, a crown goes around your entire head and is usually larger. While a tiara is semi-circular. Go figure! In any case, just keep calm and sparkle on!
